When we first started thinking about Mahj & Mingle Social, We honestly didn’t know where it would lead. We just knew we had fallen in love with American Mahjong and loved everything that came with it - the game, the laughter, the social aspect, and most of all, the people you meet around the table.

We've always loved bringing people together, and we wanted to create something that felt a little different. A place where you could come with a friend, come by yourself, learn something new, meet people, enjoy a drink, and have a really fun night out.

And that’s how Mahj & Mingle Social was born.

What started as an idea has become a community that we're incredibly proud of. We’ve welcomed people who have never played Mahjong before, experienced players looking for a fun night of play, and everyone in between. Watching people walk into an event not knowing anyone and leave laughing, making plans to play again, or exchanging phone numbers with a new friend has honestly been one of my favorite parts of this journey.

For us, Mahj & Mingle Social has never been just about Mahjong.

It’s about connection.

It’s about creating an experience where people can put their phones down, sit around a table, laugh a little, learn something new, and enjoy being together.

That’s why our events continue to evolve. Along with Mahj 101, Guided Play, and Open Play, we love creating special themed events that bring even more fun to the table. Every event has its own personality, but the goal is always the same: Play. Sip. Connect.

Being featured in the Hopkinton Independent is especially meaningful because this community is such a big part of why Mahj & Mingle Social exists in the first place. We're so grateful for everyone who has supported us, attended an event, shared a post, brought a friend, or simply cheered us on.

Every ticket purchased, every new face at the table, every “I’m so glad I came tonight,” and every new friendship that comes from one of our events reminds me why we started this in the first place.

So, thank you to the Hopkinton Independent for sharing our story, and thank you to everyone who has been part of the Mahj & Mingle Social journey so far.

We have so many ideas for where we can take this next, and we can’t wait to continue growing this community...one mahjong table at a time. 🀄️💕
